Truly a romantic wedding venue in Scotland – This historic Scottish Castle, which is offered on an exclusive basis, really is a fantastic location for wedding receptions, set, as it is, in 156 acres of outstanding natural beauty; it has a beautiful 2 acre “historically important” walled garden which dates back to 1616 (where they often hold wedding services), magnificent lawns a private Loch and its own 9-hole golf course. Photographers call it their dream wedding venue and that’s why you are guaranteed an excellent album or DVD to look back upon and remember your special day. So if you’re planning on getting married in Scotland and more specifically having a Scottish castle wedding, look no further!
As an alternative to a wedding ceremony in the walled garden, they have their own delightful chapel for smaller weddings or for larger parties they make use of Guthrie Village Church which is only a few minutes walk from the castle. Alternative locations for a civil wedding ceremoy include any one of a number of the reception rooms in the castle or for larger numbers our function suite.
A castle wedding reception venue – The Grand Pavilion, built specifically for entertaining, can sit 300 for a dinner dance, but can also be configured to provide intimate dining for smaller groups of say 150 or even just 50, whilst parties of up to 30 can dine in the splendour of the castle’s private dining room – so what ever the size of your wedding party they are sure to be able to set up the ideal atmosphere for your wedding reception.
