The Royal Wedding 2011 – The Photographer

With the date now set for the next Royal Wedding, this is set to be one of the most popular dates for couples getting married in 2011.  Fortunately there is a place not far from home called Glamis Castle where you can have your very own Royal Wedding.

Few places in Britain can match Glamis Castle for romantic and royal connections. Ever since 1376, when Sir John Lyon brought his royal bride Princess Joanna, to Glamis, countless other royal figures have been enchanted by its romantic aura and setting. Among them were James VI of Scotland (James I of England) and Mary Queen of Scots.
It was the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, and HRH The Princess Margaret was born here.
The Queen Mother and King George VI – then the Duke and Duchess of York – spent their honeymoon at Glamis in 1923 and spent the summers of the interwar years here with the young princesses Elizabeth and Margaret.

As you and your guests make your way down the mile-long avenue to reach the castle in its beautiful Scottish parkland the sense of occasion will be immense.

You can hold your civil or religious wedding ceremonyin the 16th Century Kitchens and afterwards guests will have their very own personal guide tour of the castle including the stately rooms. You can have your photographs taken in most of the stately rooms and anywhere within the grounds of Glamis including the stunning Italian Gardens.

Your drinks reception can be hosted in the 17th Century Drawing Room with your wedding breakfast served in the Victorian Dining Room.

Contact us to view our Glamis Castle work and please contact Glamis asking for Claire, Event Coordinator to discuss your options further.
